What is HappyMais? HappyMais is an ecological toy made from Mater-bi, a natural GM-free corn starch material that is totally biodegradable and compostable. Just moisten a piece of Happymais and it will magically stick to another piece. You do not need glue. Fun bright colours with non-toxic food colouring and easy to use!
How to use HappyMais! Just moisten a piece of HappyMais and stick together. Make 2D or 3D objects....the only limit is your imagination! You can cut it into smaller pieces and shape it with your hands, of for a greater range of possibilities.
What can I make? Flowers, animals, planes, boats, dinosaurs, houses...almost anything you can think of!
How do they stick together? The starch in HappyMais works as a natural adhesive. Once moistened, the pieces will stick together or be adhered to other surfaces like glass, wood, cardboard or paper. You can create puzzles, build houses or castles (by means of an old cardboard box) or use the ideas of the templates shown in the box.
Any tips? HappyMais is highly versatile, try cutting it with a pair of round-tipped scissors to make the tiniest details for your creations. Mould it with your hands...you can even grate it to obtain special effects like snow, sand or make fantastic colour mixtures! Why not stick HappyMais to window panes to create magic Christmas decorations! You can even moisten a piece of Happymais and rub it on a sheet of paper to paint a picture! Or dissolve it in a cup of water to obtain watercolours!
Approximately 10 square meters of tropical rain forest are protected when a box of 2.5 litres of HappyMais is bought, by quarterly donations made by the manufacturer Ecotoys to "Fondo per la Terra" (Earth Fund Association).
